Preptember 2026 is a citywide disaster preparedness series designed to equip participants with the knowledge and tools to face emergencies with confidence. Presented by Burbank Public Library in partnership with Burbank Fire Department's Ready Burbank campaign, Preptember will run throughout September 2026.
Through hands-on workshops and expert-led sessions, participants will discover vital resources and learn practical skills such as learning about Burbank alert systems, assembling go-bags and creating family disaster plans. In addition, giveaways at many of these events will feature essential survival tools and supplies to help attendees build their own emergency kits.
Get ready for Preptember 2026—because in a real emergency, knowledge is the best survival tool!
