Whether you are searching for materials to help you succeed in school, or just something to read on the weekends, we've got you covered. When you enter the children’s spaces at any of our Libraries you will find books, movies, graphic novels, audiobooks, materials in international languages, computer stations, a friendly Library staff member, and much more!

Your library card also lets you access thousands of online materials for kids from the comfort of your own home, such as eBooks, eAudiobooks, and cool resources like online homework tutors from HelpNow, animated books from Tumblebooks, and movies for kids from KanopyKids. The best part? All of it is available for free with a library card!

From story times to STEM programs, books clubs to baby parties, we have a variety of program for children of all ages and their families! Check out the calendar on our website or subscribe to receive our newsletter in your inbox and you’ll be up to date on the latest opportunities for fun at the library.

PAWS for Reading

Is your child struggling with reading fluency?
Do they like animals?
Do they need a safe and cozy place to practice?

Sign up for a reading session with a therapy dog or rabbit at the Burbank Public Library! Twice a month, therapy animals (and their humans) will visit the library to provide support and encouragement to readers practicing their read aloud skills. Reading to a therapy dog or rabbit is a proven strategy that helps learners build up their reading confidence with the aid of a calm, nonjudgmental listener. We are pleased to have therapy teams from BARK and Pet Partners volunteering their time at our library.

Please check back for future dates in fall 2024.
