The Spark! Digital Media Lab is a technology learning space located at the Burbank Central Library that brings together the computers, software and other technology used in the media industry to create music, movies, animation, and more. The Lab provides access to specialized equipment, along with opportunities to learn from experts, practice skills and build portfolios.
The Spark! Digital Media Lab is open for in-person services. Equipment is available for use on a first-come, first-served basis.
Visit the Lab
Come try out a Wacom animation tablet, design your own fidget spinner on the 3D printer, create beats with the Maschine, and put it all together with the complete suite of Adobe Creative Cloud software. The Lab includes equipment and software for video and audio production, animation, 3D printing, and more.
Access to the Spark! Lab is for registered Burbank Public Library patrons in good standing. On your first visit, we will give you a brief orientation and an agreement to sign stating you will comply with the Lab Rules. Users under the age of 18 must be in grade 6 or higher and have a parent or legal guardian co-sign the Agreement.
Volunteer opportunities in the Lab are temporarily paused.
