Library Services Director

Welcome to the Burbank Public Library. We are lucky to have strong support from residents and to be part of a thriving city. As we move the library into the future, we hope to be more engaged with more of you in more ways, ensuring our library is deeply rooted in the community and responsive to your needs, dreams and goals.

In a career that has taken me around the US and Canada, I have found that despite differences, libraries around North America share a great number of traits. It is this set of core beliefs and practices that motivates our work here, too. Libraries are for everyone and serve without judgment. We ensure freedom of thought and free access to information and learning. We provide opportunity to each user, whether it’s developing reading skills through our adult literacy program or accessing information online, practicing leadership through the Teen Advisory Board or introducing a child to the joys of reading.

We always welcome conversations with the community about your aspirations for the future of Burbank and how the library can support those goals. We hope you will share your ideas with us.
